Find out where you stand and what comes next

Divorce Compass is a UK coaching service for people who are married and unsure, thinking about separation, or already divorced and rebuilding. We don't steer you towards divorce and we don't pressure you to stay.

The Clarity Checkpoint is free. You can work through it at your own pace and stop whenever you like.

Who this is for

Married and unsure

You may feel unseen or unheard in your relationship. You're weighing up staying or leaving and want space to think.

Thinking about separation

You're considering separation and want to understand what that might look like, without being pushed in any direction.

Divorced and rebuilding

You're already separated or divorced and rebuilding your life. You may be parenting from a distance and finding new routines.

Divorce Compass is for women and men. If you are experiencing abuse, please read our help and safety page first.

Clarity can come before a decision

Some people feel they need to decide first and find clarity afterwards. Clarity can come first.

It helps to keep three things apart.

  • What you feel. Your feelings are information, and they can be noticed without acting on them straight away.
  • What may be useful to believe. Some beliefs open up space to think and some close it down.
  • What you can check. Things like what was said or done.

What we do not do

  • We don't tell you whether to stay or go.
  • We don't blame or shame anyone.
  • We don't give legal advice, financial advice or therapy.

Divorce Compass is coaching. If you need specialist help, please contact a solicitor, a financial adviser, your GP or a specialist service.

How it works

Take the free Clarity Checkpoint

An interactive quiz with a personalised summary and a downloadable guide. It asks gentle questions about how you feel, how you communicate, what matters to you and what support you have. There are no right answers.

Watch the free videos

A few free videos look at ideas such as why clarity can come before decision, and a simple way to separate what you feel from what you can check.

Work through Clear Path at your own pace

An online coaching programme with a video course and a workbook, if you want more structure.

More support later

Live group coaching and one to one coaching may become available later.

Questions people ask

Will you tell me to stay or to leave?

No. Clear Path helps you separate what you feel, what may be useful to believe and what you can check. What you do with that clarity is up to you.

Is this therapy, legal advice or financial advice?

No. It is coaching. If you need legal or financial advice, please speak to a solicitor or a financial adviser. If you need therapy or counselling, please speak to your GP or a qualified counsellor.

Do I have to have decided anything?

No. You can use the Clarity Checkpoint whether you are married, thinking about separation, or already divorced.

How much time does it take?

You can work through the Clarity Checkpoint and Clear Path at your own pace.

What if I'm not safe at home?

Please contact the National Domestic Abuse Helpline on 0808 2000 247, or call 999 if you are in immediate danger. Clear Path may not be the right resource right now. See our help and safety page.
